ACTIVELY lEARN
Actively Learn provides a catalog of thousands of texts and videos for middle school and high school ELA, Science and Social Studies. This includes high-interest articles, full-length novels, popular short stories, textbook sections, primary sources, DBQs, and more. Our pre-created instruction includes scaffolds and higher-order questions that help students access rigorous text and understand it more deeply. Teachers in Actively Learn can add their own Google docs, websites, videos, or PDFs and turn them into interactive lessons with shared annotations, embedded questions, media, and immediate feedback. Teachers can also modify any of our instruction and customize it to their students' needs. Students in Actively Learn have access to text-to-speech, a built-in learner's dictionary, translation into over thirty languages, and dyslexic reading settings. We make it easier for teachers to implement best practices for literacy and for students to engage in and understand what they read.
lINGq
With LingQ, students can immerse themselves in their new language through our large library of audio lessons all with matching transcript. LingQ is a virtual language lab with the ability to look up and learn unknown words and phrases and in context or through dedicated review activities. All student activity is tracked so that students can see a statistical summary of their activity and measure and celebrate their achievements. Also, teachers are able to see a summary of student activity and progress. Students are also able to import and learn from any content on the web. This includes YouTube videos, books, Netflix shows, songs, whatever is of interest. Review activities include flashcards, cloze tests, dictation and multiple choice.
sTORYWORLD
Storyworld’s engaging ebooks take the frustration out of language learning. With Storyworld, students read along while they listen to stories in the target language, then tap any word they don’t understand for the translation in context. Games at the end of every story reinforce vocabulary and comprehension and offer reward points. Storyworld’s library of original, fully-illustrated ebooks is leveled by Lexile and covers over 1200 common words and phrases in Spanish, Chinese and English. An at-a-glance dashboard for teachers, reports challenging vocabulary, comprehension results and engagement activity by student and class, as well as points earned.
